Shady Breakfast at The Garden

Always one coffee or tea refill included.

Of course, there are lots of places in Chiang Mai where you can have a fairly decent western breakfast. But many of them are located on the main road, so your first food of the day is accompanied by a large dose of street noise. Not so for The Garden.

Still situated in the city center, this place is based in a street (soi) close to Thapae Gate, in a small, but idyllic garden.  Add some good quality food to that, and you can start your day as relaxed as possible.

Speaking of food, their breakfast menu consists of several sets; from a basic omelet, with fruit juice and tea or coffee, to an extended morning meal, with several choices of meat (bacon, ham, etc). They offer several kinds of bread, seven grain, whole wheat, bagel, and so on. Yogurt, muesli and fruit are also available.

Good to know is that when ordering a breakfast set, there is always one coffee or tea refill included. Apart from that, you can also enjoy a piece of homemade pie, or order some Thai food.

The Garden has been around for at least 10 years, though they moved to another location some years ago. Now they are stationed opposite the Inter Inn Hotel. Staff is friendly, the food served is above standard quality, and prices remain fair. The place is being frequented by expats, tourists as well as locals.
