Baan Kang Wat close-up house at the artistic villageThis little artistic village created by mr. Nattawut (Big) Ruckprasit, a 35-year-old Thai designer together with the inhabitants is unique in its way. Different classic style Thai wooden teak houses combined with modern polished concrete surrounding a sunken amphitheater with grassy steps gives home to a number of artists that are sharing a communal organic garden and an alternative lifestyle. This artistic village gives you immediately a feeling of relaxation.

The idea behind the project is to combine modern life in the city with a rural country lifestyle so it’s not just about shopping, but about sharing and relaxing in an arty kind of way. A good way to spend an afternoon with a coffee and/or pastry whilst reading a book in the lively library and browse for some original artifacts.

Among the little shops, you can find handmade ceramics, clothing shops, homemade food and goods, the espresso bar, a souvenir shop, the lively library and cafe and much more.

Every Saturday an art market takes place.
